To start off 2015 right, I decided that a outing to take in the majestic Mt. Fuji was absolutely in order! The conditions were quite well. The sky entertained us with the tone of blue that contrasted just so well with the snow cap of the mountain! Mt. Fuji is certainly an interesting subject. One quick search on Google can enable to appreciate Mt. Fuji in a whole new way. Just observing Fuji-san (how we actually call Mt. Fuji in Japanese) from different sides will show another side to this sprawling mountain! I find the gentle slopes from all sides to be most relaxing to watch. Years ago, I took on the challenge of climbing her to be able to experience Japan at the peak of its greatest icon!

Unfortunately, due to the nature of my job, I must move to a new location every few years. Although, the last five years here in Japan have been splendid. Soon it will be time for me to pack my bags and embark on a journey for the next chapter of my life. With just over five months to spare, I find my self questioning how will I spend my last days here? What will I dedicate myself to in next few months. I've decided that I would like to document and capture Fuji-san from as many angles as possible. Possibly even, if I dare say it, try to seek after the famed "diamond Fuji" shot!

I figure with the rest of winter, the most optimal time to view Fuji-san, and the upcoming spring, I should have plenty of opportunities to make it happen! Not to mention, all the photos would make great decor around my house! So wish me luck as I try to tackle my 2015 Mt. Fuji challenge! :)
